Regional centres for identifying and supporting gifted children are created under the Presidential instruction to ensure conditions for Russia’s science and technology development strategy and the priority project on accessible supplementary education for children.

The programme creates additional ways for talented children and youth to work on real tasks of Russian science, industry and business — matching school students with student mentors and science-technology projects for the academic year.

A distance programme of the Sirius Educational Centre that organises joint project and research work of school students with leading scientists. Studios of 5–7 students (grades 7–11) meet online with scientists and technologists and solve tasks set by project leaders.

An interdisciplinary New Year olympiad open to everyone, with problems in mathematics, informatics, physics, chemistry, biology and astronomy. No special background is required; every participant receives a named certificate and video solutions.
