The Talent and Success Educational Foundation, together with leading teachers and experts of the Association of Sirius Partner Schools, has developed and runs the professional retraining programme “Talent Development Pedagogy”. It enables students of non-teaching degree programmes to obtain the additional qualification of “Teacher” and start working at schools across the regions of Russia.
Achieving Russia’s national priorities in science and technology requires the teacher training system to keep transforming so that it supports the country’s accelerated development.
One of the mechanisms of this transformation is the “Talent Development Pedagogy” retraining programme, developed by the Talent and Success Educational Foundation in line with the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation following the meeting of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees on 11 May 2022 (Pr-1224, item 3).
Who the programme is for
The programme is designed for talented students of non-teaching degree programmes who have a solid grounding in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology or computer science and are considering working with schoolchildren studying these subjects at an advanced level.
Participants learn teaching technologies that improve the quality of education and the principles of integrating general and supplementary education, and master approaches to professional tasks that require analytical thinking and creativity. As part of the programme they do internships at schools of the Association of Sirius Partner Schools and at schools in Russia’s regions.
An important feature: together with the regional education authorities of the Russian Federation, Sirius determines each participant’s further professional path at schools in the region.
The programme provides post-graduate support for graduates who have started working at a school in their region. Mentor consultations help them overcome the difficulties of entering the profession.
